Maya Restaurant is the result of a solid partnership between Oscar Sandoval and his friend Vinicio Lopez. With nearly 50 different products in their menu, their reputation has been built on serving great, home-style Guatemalan recipes and Sea Food platters. Maya Restaurant is family oriented and always impregnated with the sweet aroma of their traditional fresh, homemade baked products; including different types of bread, pastries and pies.
At Maya Restaurant, you'll find a great place to gather with friends, colleagues or family members, they also offer delivery and catering services, and their friendly staff makes Maya Restaurant ever more welcoming. Maya Restaurant is located at 166 Stillwater Ave in Stamford, CT and open all 7 days of the week. In spite of emerging in the midst of a slow economy, Maya Restaurant has sustained their business thanks to a hard working set of ethical standards and social consciousness; through one of their other partners, Maria Sandoval (Oscar's wife), Maya Restaurant has given a great deal of support to numerous Hispanic Events and Hispanic Organizations in the greater Stamford area, most notably, the welcoming of Guatemalan Marching Band Pedro Molina in the winter of 2010, which consisted of hundreds of young musicians from Guatemala and were invited to perform at the Stamford’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the legendary Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. All of these musicians were hosted in Stamford with the support of multiple organizations, but it was the initiative of Maria Sandoval, who is well known for her generous and candid gestures.
