Meet the Business Owner
Ladis Rojas
Ladis Rojas launched her salon, Ladi’s Unisex, in 1999. However, a year after its inauguration, Ms. Rojas was confronted with the challenge of having her business relocated due to an adjacent house fire which affected her business.
Ever since that experience, all throughout this time, Ms. Rojas has been able to consolidate her business in spite of the many challenges life has given her. Nowdays, her salon is one of the most recognizable beauty salons in our area, and numerous of her staff members have been working for Ladi’s Unisex Salon for more than ten years. Ms. Rojas is fully aware of innovation, she recognizes the important role of having a solid business perspective along with being very focused on consistency and innovation.
Most recently, in early spring of 2011, Ms. Rojas re-designed the second branch of her salon, located at 327 Greenwich Avenue, in Stamford CT, which has been in that location for over four years. She’s also the Executive Director of Señorita Belleza Latina, a beauty Pageant contest that seeks to promote the elegance and dignity of young Hispanic women in our area, and on Sunday, June 11, the new contestants were presented to all residents of our community. Thus said, Ms. Rojas embraces every challenge with great amounts of passion: “I’m always following a new challenge, those of us who are in the styling industry can relate to that... I’m always attentive to the latest in my industry, and I’m very fortunate to be passionate about my work!”. For Ladis Rojas, a proud Peruvian, and single mom of five children, the most important element in seeking business success, relays on projecting a positive image: “We live in a visual world, and at Ladi’s Unisex Salon, we all work extra hard to project our very best to all our customers!”
