Meet our Corporate Member of the Month
Camacho Law Office, March 2011
"My biggest challenge over the years has been to limit my work week to 60 hours. That has been especially difficult for me to do because of the sense of responsibility I feel for my clients' matters."-Edwin Camacho, Attourney at Law
Meet the Attorney:
Edwin Camacho
Since the re-launch of the Greater Stamford Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Attorney at Law Edwin Camacho, has shown a great support to our efforts in reaching out to the entire Hispanic community in our area. Mr. Camacho is a hard working attorney who is sensitive to our legal needs, we appreciate his accessibility and we welcome all his initiatives in helping us provide to our members valuable sources of assistance in matters of the law. What follows is his statement:
“I maintain my principal office for the practice of law in Norwalk, CT, and concentrate in personal injury litigation, including accidents and medical malpractice, criminal defense, family law, commercial litigation and real estate matters. I was first admitted to the practice of law in New York State in 1984. I was admitted to the practice of law in Connecticut in 1996. I am also admitted in the Federal Courts in Connecticut and New York. Early in my career, I was staff counsel with the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc., a civil rights litigation firm, in New York City, and Phoenix Legal Services, Phoenix, AZ. Thereafter, I served as Senior Counsel, and later Administrative Judge, for the New York State Division of Parole, in Albany, NY.
I have served as managing partner at Hunter & Associates, an insurance defense firm in New York City. Most recently, from 2003 to 2007, I practiced with Ventura, Ribeiro & Smith, a plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Danbury, CT, with whom I continue to serve as Of Counsel. My biggest challenge over the years has been to limit my work week to 60 hours. That has been especially difficult for me to do because of the sense of responsibility I feel for my clients' matters. To that end, I recently joined forces with Mayra Rios, Esq., who will be assisting with real estate and litigation, including personal injury, criminal and family law matters. We seek to give our clients the best possible legal representation at reasonable cost”.
