The Workshop Series is a six week intensive program of 2 hour classes presented by volunteer business professionals dedicated in training minority business owners in a variety of education modules specially designed in financial, marketing, management, planning, credit, borrowing and legal aspects. A primary goal of the program is to attract Latino business owners who lack the fundamental skills and tools to successfully grow their business. This program has been thoughtfully designed in Spanish. All workshop material has been written in Spanish and classroom training is totally conducted in Spanish. Merchants will be able to attend, work and share business experiences with other merchants of similar background and or experience. Language and education is not considered a barrier for learning and participating in the program. The program is designed to educate and teach merchants the fundamentals of business management and ultimately prepare them for lending Merchants who complete the 6 week course will be given a Certificate of Completion at the final class graduation ceremony in which local community leaders, sponsors and financial institutions will be invited.
